Example - SBC EZ
SBC EZ can be used in all the situations where both computers can browse the Internet. It is recommended whenever you have difficulties to use other connection modes.
First open the host program and set up some users if it is the first time, as shown below:
Next goto General tab, select "SBC EZ" as the "SBC Connect Mode", uncheck "Enable Direct Connection", as shown below:
Next goto HTTP/Proxy tab, make sure setting is correct by hitting the TestProxy button, as shown below:
Next goto SBC tab, select a "SBC Server Location" that is nearest to you,
input "SBC UserID" and "SBC Password". Note this is NOT a user you setup on the Users tab! If you subscribed SBC service from the software provider, you will get a SBC account and input here. If you have not subscribed SBC service, type "guest" in the "SBC UserID" field (password does not matter). The screen is shown below:
Hit "Start" button to put host into Ready status. The screen is shown below:
Now note down the guest ID and keep the host program running and connected to SBC server. Goto your client computer. Open client program as shown below:
Hit Server Based Connect menuitem from file menu or the toolbar button. It will open Server Based Connect dialog. Enter the guest ID which is assigned to your host program when connecting to SBC servers, as shown below:
Hit the OK button. It will open Host Login dialog. Enter the user account you setup on the Users tab of the host program, as shown below:
Then hit OK, it should get connected and show your remote desktop on the client window. Then operate the remote computer as you are sitting in front of the remote computer.
